February, 2006 - Major updates to Howe and Braine family data made as a result of work done by Randy Braine and information shared by J.B. Cornwell and Patricia Jo Braine. Connections to Admiral D.L. Braine clarified. Testing new version of GED2HTML tool; most users prefer that output to PAF-generated lists for navigating. Adding pictures from Green-Wood Cemetery of new headstones that identify Howe ancestors buried there. Descendancy charts still under construction to make simpler.
January, 2002 - Parts of this site are under construction (again). I have obtained a domain with 100MB of storage space to allow for more pictures, more descendant and other reports in the PAF format, and some other projects I'm also working on. Please let me know how you like it and any problems you encounter.
1998 - PAF version 5.0 allowed me to create the master Ancestor Chart with citations, and the Descendancy charts for the main family lines.
First put online 1994 - This is an attempt at publishing a real genealogy using HTML. I divided the database of family history information into four sections corresponding to my daughter's grandparents, and created an HTML index and data file for each family line.
The original data was entered on software called Personal Ancestral File (PAF). It is now available via the Internet; see the FamilySearch ink below. And there are a number of other genealogical software programs that now convert the output into web-pages.
My data was first converted to a format called GEDCOM, then converted to HTML by a program called: GED2HTML: A GEDCOM to HTML Translator. Photos were added here and in the Family Albums using Netscape Composer.
